Masks

"If you're going to fight alone; wear a mask".

A boy witnesses the murder of his parents. Now as an orphan; he isn't a ward of the state but he is left with his inheritance, his butler and loneliness.

As he evolves, he lives an honorable life. Using his inheritance to give to those in need; create for the future and protect all.

We all know there must be good and evil to provide the balance in the world, right? So for all the good that he does, there's always evil that causes a distraction.

2012, he was being hit from every angle. People suing him, accusing him of being a murderer, slandered his name. He went into hiding. Evil rears its ugly head and calls him out. He takes on the challenge because even though he was in a season of loss and disappointment, he had to stand up for the greater good. He lost. He was broken. He felt personally defeated.

He didn't quit. He rebuilt his mind. He rebuilt his body. He rose like a Phoenix from the ashes. And he returned. Regained control of his power. Regained the strength in his commitment to others and he not only restored order within his own life but for the betterment of all of the people he served.

Now, don't laugh at me but this is Bruce Wayne. Yes he is a fictional character but when his origin was written, it was written from an understanding that this child faced adversity and grew into a man who took that adversity and became a Superhero.

While Bruce Wayne was respected as a quiet mogul who wanted to help all. No one knew he was the man behind the mask. He doesn't kill (wouldn't be right  in the eyes of mankind). He wants you to learn from your mistakes and fix them. Take accountability.

So Bruce the mogul, uses his riches to give.

Then .....

Batman uses Bruce Wayne's riches to protect.

And all while both Bruce and Batman live in loneliness, loss and darkness.

Just because a person gives, that doesn't mean that they have it. Some people are here for a purpose. Maybe just to make others happy. Maybe to help someone transition. There are just some who get "the call" and live their lives answering to that call in one way or another.

Yes Batman is fictional but his message is real.

If you're going to fight alone; wear a mask!
